Arriving day

drapeau_canadaI just arrived in Canada. My first feelings are very good even I was a bit stressed before taking the plan, because I think we all are afraid of unknown. Anyway, here the weather is quite warm. There is a lot of people from Asia, India middle east countries and a few from south America. But everyone looks really integrated and speaks a good english. This fact and the way to get it could help to solve some french issues linked integration troubles.

In opposite to Barcelona, there isn't any french people in here but mainy products have a translation in french of their caracteristics. It helps but it's not enough for me. I have a lot of difficulties to understand canadian people. I am a it disappointed. I though my understanding english skills were better. About speaking english, I look like a rooky. I am always looking for my words, I make a lot of mystakes but I go on trying. I think that's the only to improve my level.

Are you sure you're able to read the time on my new watch?

I just took a look on the relatime internet site. People who are all about conformism could leave now because it's going to sound like be back to school to learn basics things. It hurts right? That's what I thought when I first went to this web site. But I went back this morning with an understanding wish so go and don't give up, carry on to figure out how does it work. I give you an example beneath. It's not the most accurate but it's the easier one to understand and to read on my point of view.

Still hope in "les bleus"

maillot_equipe_franceYesterday I saw on TV the match France versus Togo. Honestly, I assume the fact I didn't really believed they could play well again (as they were playing in 1998) but this time they surprised me making a good game and being several times in position to goal the oponents.

This time, the french coach Raymond Domenech took some risks and that's a good point. French people currently live in the past time and we got the same issue in our football team. A lot of players who won the world cup in 1998 are still here and it doesn't help the new one to be integrated and trusted by the other members of the team. That was the good point, the french coach added young players in the beginning team (actually it maybe because Zidane was being forbiden to play this match for having received 2 warnings in the previous contests) and it worked.

"Les bleus" gave us a good show and were really fairplay, just like the world cup atmospheare must be.

Done!

logo_ensamI just finish today my oral presentation as a engineering student. It passed a good way. Overmore, I get my ultimate results and passed the whole exams I needed to. So I'm going to be graduated in july after the jury meeting.

So now, I can spend my time making paperwork, sheduling my next week and carrying on looking for a new experience abroad, especially in an anglo-saxon country. About this topic, I get a couple of weeks ago about 915 (over 990) at the TOEIC, meaning that I'm able to lead meetings in english with native english spoken people (that's what it's written in the instructions...).

Waiting for the B plan

Laurent FABIUS, he is the B plan man. He is also a part of the french socialist party (PS) since a long time. fabiusThis man, who was involved in the contaminated blood scandal as he was health minister, acted for the european constitution to be throwed away by french electors. He was actually telling about another way to build europe without needing any kind of constitution.

That was the B plan.

We still don't know what his B plan is made about, he probably doesn't know himself, but we can be sure it was based on fearing people.

Fearing about what?

About all issues french people (just like dutch people, german people, spanish  people, every people) feel concerned with. Things like unemployment, social protection, foreign competition which is responsible for manufacturies relocalisation, workers from abroad who steal french job because of low-cost earnings and open boundaries....the list is not ended but you already got the meaning. But seeing things so basically is an hazardous small term strategy. Europe is not about now but principally about tomorow.
In a strategy lecture, a teacher gave an interesant defintion of strategy: "having the other immobilised while you keep moving".

What about the consequencies?

The most knew one was French citizen said no to Europe. I am not here to explain the reasons why but according to the analysts this was a way to express fears but also to complain about the french president. Anyway, the outcome was quite bad for people just like me who do really believe in building the European Union.

europe_doit_existerBut lets go down to our business. By awarness lack, people didn't took care about an important news. Until the referendum was pushed away, China was discussing with french governement about local clothes exportation quotas. France was on a good way to obtain a trade agreement with China to limit chinese wearing products on the french market and thus avoiding unfightable competitivity. China accepted getting in negociations because of France leadership in the European Union. But by refusing the European constitution, thanks to people just like Mr Fabius, France immediatly lost its capacity to put pressure on China so China forgot about every kind of trade limitation agreements and is currently widely spreading its highly competitive products in the whole French market.

Finally, those who trusted in Fabius by creating them more professional safety, are currently loosing.in_god_we_trust

And Fabius has no B plan to get them hired back.

Moreover, politicmen beg more trust to citizens.

Does it make any sense?

Looking for a job

jobHere's my main occupation now. I'll be soon graduated from one of the greatest french engineering school (ENSAM) and now it's time for me to become a professional, time for me to get a real job.
Unfortunately, i don't want to be a classical engineer, meaning i don't want to spend my time doing calculus and simulation with a computer. I expect a job which could provide some good interactions with partners or customers, being in a foreign workplace.
I thought about studying a one year business master to complete my formation and learning about corporate finance and management but I'm not sure now and I really think I need some action and especially being in charge of some project or some people.
Furthermore, one of my main purpose is about speaking english a fluent way (I already speak currently spanish but companies always need good english skills). From my point of view, the only way to become fluent in english is to go in an anglo-saxon country (ok I apologise, this is not my better idea of the day!). To help recent graduated to go working  abroad,  french government created a special contract named VIE (I'll definitively not speak about the CPE - first employment contract - because this not  the point, but I was OK for it...). This contract autorises french companies to send recent graduated people from the whole european union in their foreign subsidiaries to do a job. Each time such a contract is firmed, the companie get some incentives from the state to pay the person who went away. Earnings are not about to be discussed. They are designed by the french governement depending on the country the people is working in.For instance, working in the US will provide you 2200 € per month. In Spain, the wadge will be about 1700 €.

About my roots

I just finish to write an article about a french politician whose name is Georges Freche.geoges_freche1 To have an overview about my reasons to write an article about him, here is the context.

This man is a socialist politican (PS). He's working as the president of the Languedoc Roussillon region (Montpellier). On the february, he had to attend to a celebration about a deadfrench man called Jacques Roseau. As a politician, he made a speech for the people who were there.

First, I have to explain who was Jacques Roseau and make a few of history. As you know, Algeria was french from the 19th century until the year 1962 when Charles De Gaulle gave the country his independance with the  Evian agreements. At this moment, a lot of french people (mainly composed of french naturalised european immigrants just like spanish, italians...) had to leave Algeria to France. french_algeria_mapThey couldn't stay there because of dead threats pronounced against them by the FLN members (muslim independance party).
Some part of the muslim people ahd decided (before Evian agreements) to fight for France because they believed in and they felt like french. These people are called harkis. And the europeans who went to France when Algeria independance was firmed are usually called "pieds noirs" (black feet). I'm sorry, I don't have any explanations about the reason why.

So, living their native country, these harkis and pieds noirs went to France. For many of them, they never had sawn France. They felt just like refugees although they were french. In France, they weren't well-considered and welcame. Despite they weren't welcame, they succeeded to ingretate in a few years. My grandfathers, my father and all my uncles were born in Algeria. By leaving Algeria, they dropped off there childhood (friends, neighbourhood and mediterranean way of life) by knowing they'll never can go back there to remember. Many french doesn't really understand what happened there. So they often have wrong ideas about French Algeria. Just like this politician who insulted harkis for having a demonstration in honnor of a pied noir. He can't felt how much they suffered and what they lost by leaving Algeria. Some stupid and unresponsible behaviour finally.

When relatives are breaking your dreams

Here she is, trying to find another way to express her deep mind. Of course I know she'll blush by reading this article, saying it's ridiculous but it doesn't really matter. 28_01_062This time, she decided by herself making something she believes in. And that's the most important point. She paints. Here are some of the pictures she painted. This one, on the right, is titled 28/01/06. No need to be Einstein to understand she titled her picture by the date she completed it.

I don't have any artistic background or any specifical knowledge in Art history. But I just think art is about to suggest you some specific emotion when it's good. Here is my point.

By seeing 28/01/06, I felt like seeing something beautiful and peaceful. I imagined a naked woman stretched out in such an enormous bed (because we don't see any boundaries. The bed seems to be infinite) sleeping well or enjoying to stay in bed despite the sun is shining (because of using some hot colors just like the yellow). She is taking her time. Because she is naked and one of her legs goes out of the sheet, temperature seems to be great, a bit hot maybe. This woman hasn't any face, so we can't identify her. She can be anybody, any women who dreams of a life without troubles and worries.

This woman is probably herself.

I support Denmark

20060203britishmuslims02I just finished to sit my exams this week and I found information about islamists demonstrations in London. Their issue was about pictures drawed by danishs humorists in a national newspaper (about a religious toopic).

Probably thinking free expression can't be, they decide to demonstrate again these pictures, by taking panels with violent slogans, just those you can see by clicking on the picture on the left.

Seeing that, I feel threated. I don't care about the way they act because I'm not surprised about it.20060203britishmuslims011 But I care about the way danish governement reacted. They said they'll punish the newspaper for having published the content who created islamists reactions all over the world. Acting this way, they gave an incentive to terrorists to put pressure on our democracies to change our way to see free expression. I looked the pictures and didn't saw any offense.

Eventually, I think they just take an opportunity for fearing european people. Now I think it's time for us to react against this people to make them understand there isn't any place for them in our free world. Furthermore, I think danish governement shouldn't punish the newspaper because they were doing their jobs. It's about danish justice to decide if their were unlegal pictures.

supportdenmarksmall1enAnyway. I can't bear anymore this way of being which penalised modern and open-minded muslims from the whole world. Those who tried to practice an a moderated islam to integrated themself to our civilisation the best they can. To go on this struggle against terrorism, I support Denmark.
